Description
This is a 1961 Topps baseball trading card, card number 207, titled Dodger Southpaws. The card features two prominent Los Angeles Dodgers left-handed pitchers, Sandy Koufax and Johnny Podres. The front of the card presents a horizontal format with a color photograph of Koufax and Podres in their Dodgers road uniforms. A red vertical border on the right side contains the text DODGER SOUTHPAWS in white block letters, with (Sandy Koufax-Johnny Podres) printed in black text underneath. The reverse of the card is printed on light-colored cardstock with a green-yellow background. The upper left features a baseball graphic containing the Topps logo and the number 207. The header repeats the card title and player names. The biographical text provides details on Koufax’s 18-strikeout game on August 31, 1959, and Podres’ performance in the 1955 World Series.
