Description
1956 Topps baseball card featuring Hall of Fame second baseman Nellie Fox (Jacob Nelson Fox) of the Chicago White Sox, designated as card number 118. The front of the card features the classic dual-image horizontal design, including a large colorized photographic portrait of Fox wearing a White Sox cap alongside a smaller action shot depicting him sliding into a base. A printed facsimile signature, Nelson Fox, is positioned in the lower right. The reverse of the card is printed in orange and green ink on white cardstock, identifying it as the white back variation. The back contains player biographical information, three comic-style career highlight illustrations, and a comprehensive table of major league batting and fielding statistics through the 1955 season.
