Description
This is a 1956 Topps base baseball card featuring Hall of Fame pitcher Robin Roberts of the Philadelphia Phillies. The front of the card displays a dual-image design with a large color portrait and a smaller black and white action shot of the player in a pitching motion against a green background. Identification banners in the upper left corner contain the player name in a blue bar and the team and position in an orange bar. A black facsimile signature is printed across the bottom. The reverse of the card, numbered 180, contains biographical information, career highlights presented in a comic strip format, and a table detailing his 1955 and lifetime major league pitching records. The copyright information T.C.G. PRINTED IN U.S.A. is printed vertically along the right edge.
