Description
This is a standard 1975 Topps baseball card featuring Hall of Fame player Carl Yastrzemski of the Boston Red Sox. The front of the card displays a color photograph of the player in a batting stance, overlaid with a printed facsimile signature. The team name RED SOX is printed vertically in pink lettering on the left yellow border, while the player’s name is printed vertically on the right blue border. A baseball graphic in the upper right corner identifies his positions as OF-1B. The reverse side, printed on typical 1970s brown cardboard stock, is numbered 280 in a green circle. It provides the player’s full name as Carl Michael Yastrzemski and lists his major league batting record for every season from 1961 through 1974. The back also includes biographical information and a trivia question in a red-shaded box. The copyright line at the bottom right identifies the manufacturer as Topps Chewing Gum, Inc.
