Description
A trio of original vintage baseball cards from the 1959 Topps set. The lot includes card number 138 John Romano, card number 19 Eddie Bressoud, and card number 41 Bob Martyn. Each card measures approximately 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. The cards feature the characteristic 1959 design with circular player portraits and colored backgrounds. The reverse of each card contains player biographies, major and minor league statistics, and illustrative cartoons. All cards bear the copyright mark (c) T.C.G. Printed in U.S.A. on the back, identifying them as products of Topps Chewing Gum.
Card number 138: John Romano, Chicago White Sox, Catcher. This card is part of the “The Sporting News Rookie Stars of 1959” subset and features a horizontal orientation with a striped red, white, and blue background and Romano in a batting pose.
Card number 19: Eddie Bressoud, San Francisco Giants, Infield. Features a portrait within a circle on a blue background.
