Description
This is an original 1979 Topps Ozzie Smith rookie baseball card, identified as card number 116 in the set. The card features Ozzie Smith as a shortstop for the San Diego Padres early in his Hall of Fame career. The front of the card depicts Smith in a Padres uniform and batting helmet. Text on the front includes the player name Ozzie Smith, the position SS, the team name Padres, and the city San Diego. A circular Topps logo is printed in the lower right corner. The reverse side of the card uses a green and black color palette and provides comprehensive major and minor league batting records, biographical information, and a baseball-themed trivia section titled What Happened.
