Description
This lot comprises a collection of unfinished textile components for quilting, primarily consisting of cotton fabric blocks and sections. It includes multiple square appliqué quilt blocks featuring a stylized red and dark green floral design on a cream-colored ground, with the red fabric displaying a small floral print and the green fabric having a subtle repeating pattern. Some of these appliqué blocks are further bordered by green and white triangular patchwork units, consistent with ‘flying geese’ patterns often found in late 19th and early 20th-century American quilting. Also present are stacks of larger pieced sections, which combine a central striped cream fabric with a detailed multi-colored floral print, surrounded by red and white triangular patchwork. Additionally, there are bundles of smaller, individual green and white triangular pieced units.
Condition report:
Good condition, consistent with unused or stored textile components. Minor signs of age or storage-related discoloration are noted on the cream fabrics.
